Daviscomms Bravo series pagers are UL (Underwriters Laboratories)
Certified as intrinsically safe for use in hazardous classified
locations. Intrinsically Safe (IS) wireless products are designed
specifically for use in hazardous environments, such as oil
refineries, chemical plants, and etc. where inflammable gases
or explosive dust may be present. IS products require designs
that preclude the possibility of sparks being generated by
high electric fields, intermittent electrical connections
(eg. when changing a battery or when dropped). With Daviscomms
IS pagers means that staff in such environments can now enjoy
wireless communication via on-site or nation wide paging system
to external contacts as well as on-site employees.
The intrinsic safety ratings of the Bravo series pagers are:
For Intrinsic Safety Certification:
Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D.
For Non-incendive Certification:
Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D.
